Chausses of the Fallen Court are Diamond Leggings from Charlemagne’s Royal class loot in The Knight’s Castle. They fill the leggings slot in the Royal collection and come from the boss’s final-phase reward table.
Their lore reads, ‘Cut for a lord who expected to kneel to nobody.’ That is the kind of confidence that tends to age badly in a castle full of fallen knights.
These leggings have two nearby comparisons worth keeping straight: Oathkeeper’s Legplates, another Royal Diamond Leggings item, and Damaged Leggings, Charlemagne’s unique Netherite Leggings with their own fixed defensive properties.

Where to Get It
| Dropped By | Chance | Difficulty | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Charlemagne | 100% table entry; one class-selected Royal item per player | Normal, Hard, Mythic | Royal class loot from the final phase; not a guaranteed individual item |
The Knight’s Castle has Normal, Hard, and Mythic settings with level sync +5, +0, and -5 respectively. The Royal class-loot table is tied to Charlemagne’s final phase, so the path to this reward always runs through the full boss encounter.
Winning a pair means getting through Charlemagne’s fourth phase, and that means managing every earlier transition on the way. The 80% transition brings in healer summons; the 50% transition adds the dome arena; the 30% transition begins the final stage.
One of the easiest ways to waste effort in the second phase is to let an Azaroon Healer channel without interruption. It heals injured elites once per second and stops only when the target recovers, dies, or gets out of range, so stopping the support is a real part of defeating the boss.
By the final phase, Charlemagne can trigger Arrow Rain after being struck, covering a broad area with falling arrows for ten seconds. Hellstar summons add invisible, fireball-using enemies to the fight, making the last stretch more complicated than a simple final damage burst.
Only after finishing that phase does the Royal class-loot selection become relevant. The 100% entries in the table represent choices within a class-based reward, not a pile of nineteen items handed to each player.
Class Loot
Chausses of the Fallen Court is class loot. It has no fixed stats: its enchantments are rolled every time it drops, so no two copies are exactly alike, and harder difficulties allow higher enchantment levels. When a mob drops class loot, each player who wins the drop roll gets one item from that mob’s class loot pool, weighted toward their class.
Dropped as class loot by:
- Charlemagne (boss): 100% chance per player who dealt at least 10% of the mob’s health
Possible Enchantments
The levels below are the most each enchantment can roll. Each drop receives about half of the listed levels at random, so most copies land below these maximums. The chance shows how often an enchantment appears at all.
| Difficulty | Possible Enchantments |
|---|---|
| Normal | Sharpness up to V (always) Protection up to II (90%) Unbreaking up to III (70%) Smite up to IV (60%) Bane Of Arthropods up to IV (60%) |
| Hard | Sharpness up to VII (always) Protection up to III (90%) Unbreaking up to IV (70%) Smite up to VI (60%) Bane Of Arthropods up to V (60%) |
| Mythic | Sharpness up to X (always) Protection up to IV (90%) Unbreaking up to V (70%) Smite up to VII (60%) Bane Of Arthropods up to VI (60%) |
Is It Worth It?
Chausses of the Fallen Court are a Royal Diamond Leggings option, not the same item as Oathkeeper’s Legplates. Since they are separate entries in the same table, obtaining one does not mean you have also obtained the other.
Damaged Leggings are the stronger point of comparison for named effects. The Netherite unique drop carries Feather Falling II, Protection V, Unbreaking V, and Resistance I on self when you hit; that version has a distinct 5% chance from Charlemagne’s final phase.
Do not assume the Diamond class-loot leggings grant Resistance just because the unique leggings do. The class-loot route is about receiving a selected item with difficulty-based enchantment rolls; the unique-drop route offers a specifically listed enchantment and effect package.
Mythic gives the best opportunity for higher class-loot enchantment levels, so it is the difficulty to target if you are farming a top-end pair. You still need the Royal selection to land on Chausses of the Fallen Court, rather than one of the other armor pieces or weapons.
Is It Worth It
Its main enchantment is Sharpness, which can reach V on Normal, VII on Hard and X on Mythic when it drops from a boss. If you want this piece at its strongest, Mythic is the run to farm. Since every copy is rolled, two drops from the same difficulty can still differ, so check each one against what you are already using.
