Fanged Plate is an armor reward from Vampire King in The Vampire Manor, but there are two distinct versions with the same name. The unique drop is Netherite Chestplate, available on Hard and Mythic, while the class-loot version is Diamond Chestplate from the King class-loot selection.
Do not confuse the two when comparing armor. The Netherite unique piece has explicit enchantments and potion effects that change with difficulty; the Diamond class-loot piece belongs to a different reward route and is not an extra guaranteed copy of the unique item.
Both versions carry the same lore: “A collection of sharp fangs cover this armor.” The matching name and description make it especially important to check the material and how you obtained the piece.
Unique Drop Version — Overview
| Attribute | Details |
|---|---|
| Name | Fanged Plate |
| Item Type | Netherite Chestplate |
| Dungeon | The Vampire Manor |
| Dropped By | Vampire King |
| Loot Type | Unique drop |
| Soulbound | No |
| Difficulty Versions | Hard, Mythic |
Stats by Difficulty
| Difficulty | Enchantments | Effects | Drop Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hard | Protection VII; Blast Protection VI; Fire Protection VI; Thorns III | Health Boost I on self when you hit; Absorption II on self continuously | 15% |
| Mythic | Protection VIII; Blast Protection VII; Fire Protection VII; Thorns III | Health Boost II on self when you hit; Absorption III on self continuously | 15% |
The Mythic piece raises Protection from VII to VIII and both Blast Protection and Fire Protection by one level; Thorns remains III. The 15% listed chance stays the same, so the benefit of Mythic is the stronger version, not better odds for this particular item.
Health Boost activates on the wearer when you land a hit; Absorption stays active continuously. Those are survival-oriented bonuses, but the hit trigger means you cannot count on that first effect without attacking.
Where to Get It
| Dropped By | Chance | Difficulty | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vampire King | 15% | Hard | Unique Netherite Chestplate; one item; not soulbound |
| Vampire King | 15% | Mythic | Unique Netherite Chestplate; one item; not soulbound |
These unique drops come from the King’s last phase. The boss moves through five health-gated transitions before the final phase, and its attacks become more involved along the way.
The King cannot be damaged by player projectiles, cannot be knocked back, and has Fire Resistance. Melee positioning matters; later phases add claw strikes and gaze attacks, while the final phase also carries lightning attacks and additional difficulty-dependent powers.
Is It Worth It?
The Netherite Fanged Plate is worth targeting when you want its specific combination of high protection enchantments and effects. The Hard version already delivers Health Boost I and Absorption II; Mythic raises those to Health Boost II and Absorption III.
Because both versions have the same 15% listed drop chance, the choice is between the stronger Mythic stats and the easier difficulty you can clear consistently. Farming a harder fight only helps if you can actually finish it.
Class Loot Version — Overview
| Attribute | Details |
|---|---|
| Name | Fanged Plate |
| Item Type | Diamond Chestplate |
| Dungeon | The Vampire Manor |
| Dropped By | Vampire King |
| Loot Type | Class loot |
| Soulbound | No |
| Difficulty Versions | Normal, Hard, Mythic |
Where to Get It
| Dropped By | Chance | Difficulty | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vampire King | Selected by player class | Normal, Hard, Mythic | Diamond Chestplate; one item selected from the King class-loot table per player |
The Diamond version is one possible item in the Vampire Manor King class-loot table. Each player receives exactly one class-specific selection from that table; its listed 100% table entry should not be read as a 100% chance to receive this exact armor piece.
Class Loot
This Diamond Chestplate is class loot. Its enchantments are rolled when awarded according to dungeon difficulty, and the item selected is weighted toward the player’s class; it is one selection from the King’s rewards, not an additive drop alongside every other class item.
Is It Worth It?
The Diamond version is a separate class-reward path, not a substitute for the guaranteed effects of the Netherite unique version. For the strongest class-loot enchantment rolls, Mythic is the difficulty to farm; for the explicitly listed special effects, look to the Netherite unique piece instead.
