House of the Last King is a Shield class-loot item from The Vampire Manor. Vampire King awards it through the King class-loot selection after the final encounter.
“The shield's lineage has finally run out of room.”
House of the Last King is the shield entry in the Vampire King’s class-loot selection. Unlike the King’s unique Nightshade Bow and Fanged Netherite armor, it belongs to the one-item class reward pool.

Where to Get It
The table below shows every eligible source and difficulty for this class reward. “Class-selected reward” means the item competes within a class-loot pool; it is not a separate guaranteed item from each kill.
| Dropped By | Chance | Difficulty | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vampire King | Class-selected reward | Normal | King class-loot selection; one item chosen for the player’s class. |
| Vampire King | Class-selected reward | Hard | King class-loot selection; one item chosen for the player’s class. |

Class Loot
House of the Last King is class loot. It has no fixed stats: its enchantments are rolled every time it drops, so no two copies are exactly alike, and harder difficulties allow higher enchantment levels. When a mob drops class loot, each player who wins the drop roll gets one item from that mob’s class loot pool, weighted toward their class.
Dropped as class loot by:
- Vampire King (boss): 100% chance per player who dealt at least 10% of the mob’s health
Possible Enchantments
The levels below are the most each enchantment can roll. Each drop receives about half of the listed levels at random, so most copies land below these maximums. The chance shows how often an enchantment appears at all.
| Difficulty | Possible Enchantments |
|---|---|
| Normal | Protection up to V (always) Unbreaking up to IV (90%) |
| Hard | Protection up to VII (always) Unbreaking up to V (90%) |
| Mythic | Protection up to X (always) Unbreaking up to VIII (90%) |
Difficulty and Reward Quality
The Vampire Manor uses three settings: Normal syncs to the dungeon level plus 5, Hard syncs to the dungeon level plus 0, and Mythic syncs to the dungeon level minus 5. Enchantment quality still improves on harder dungeon difficulties, making Mythic the target when you want to farm the strongest class-loot copy.
That reward difference is separate from the enemy’s combat powers. Some attacks also change by difficulty, so a better enchantment roll comes with a fight that can demand more careful positioning and preparation.
Farming and Combat Tips
Projectile immunity on the King rules out safely shooting him from a distance. Stay aware of the delayed lightning markers and do not treat standing next to him as safe when a claw spin or freezing effect can disrupt your position.
A shield is the defensive choice alongside the royal weapons and armor in the King’s class loot. The reward has no fixed list of named enchantments, so compare copies by the enchantments rolled at the difficulty you cleared.
Is It Worth It?
Farm for the shield when your class reward selection points you toward defensive equipment. A higher difficulty allows better enchants, but the class reward system still chooses an item rather than handing over the entire royal collection.
Is It Worth It
Its main enchantment is Protection, which can reach V on Normal, VII on Hard and X on Mythic when it drops from a boss. If you want this piece at its strongest, Mythic is the run to farm. Since every copy is rolled, two drops from the same difficulty can still differ, so check each one against what you are already using.
