Axe of Beheadings is a Netherite Axe dropped by Dullahan in The Hallosseum. It belongs to the boss’s named Phase 2 loot and combines four enchantments with two status effects that trigger when you hit a target.
Its lore reads: “Famously used to decapitate a certain headless horseman!” The joke is doing exactly as much work as it needs to; the stats are the serious part.
Axe of Beheadings can drop on Normal, Hard, and Mythic with the same listed 50% chance and the same stat package. It is not soulbound.

Stats by Difficulty
There is one Axe of Beheadings stat line across all three Hallosseum difficulties. Normal, Hard, and Mythic use the same Sharpness V, Knockback III, Sweeping Edge I, Smite V, Wither I, and Weakness I package.
| Difficulty | Enchantments | Effects | Drop Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal, Hard, Mythic | Sharpness V; Knockback III; Sweeping Edge I; Smite V | Wither I on target when you hit; Weakness I on target when you hit | 50% |
The enchantment spread is broader than most of Dullahan’s other named weapons. Sharpness V and Smite V are both present at the same level, while Knockback III and Sweeping Edge I add two more enchantments instead of concentrating the whole item into one or two stats.
The on-hit effects are Wither I and Weakness I. Both apply to the target when you hit, so the axe carries two separate status effects in addition to its enchantment list.
Among Dullahan’s named unique melee-style drops, the closest comparison is Skull Crusher. Both carry Knockback III, but Skull Crusher lists Sharpness VI, Smite IV, Wither II, and Slowness I, while Axe of Beheadings lists Sharpness V, Smite V, Sweeping Edge I, Wither I, and Weakness I.
Reaper’s Scythe is another useful comparison because it also has Sharpness V and a Wither effect. The scythe raises Wither to II and Sweeping Edge to II, but its Smite is IV and it has no Knockback enchantment listed.
Headless Blade matches the axe at Sharpness V and Smite V, then goes in a completely different direction with Fire Aspect II, Weakness II, and Nausea I. Axe of Beheadings instead keeps Knockback III, Sweeping Edge I, Wither I, and Weakness I.
Where to Get It
Axe of Beheadings drops from Dullahan in The Hallosseum. Dullahan has two phases, and the named unique loot is attached to Phase 2, which begins when the first phase reaches 50% health.
The drop table is simple because there is no separate Normal, Hard, or Mythic version. The listed chance stays at 50% on every difficulty.
| Dropped By | Chance | Difficulty | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dullahan | 50% | Normal, Hard, Mythic | Soulbound: No |
The item does not gain higher listed enchantment levels on Hard or Mythic. If Axe of Beheadings is the specific reward you want, every Hallosseum difficulty points to the same item stats and the same individual listed chance.
That makes this different from loot systems where difficulty produces distinct item tiers. Here, the difficulty choice changes the dungeon’s level sync, but Axe of Beheadings itself remains the same listed unique drop across Normal, Hard, and Mythic.
Is It Worth It?
Axe of Beheadings is one of the most rounded weapons in Dullahan’s unique pool because it does not commit to only one stat idea. It gives you Sharpness V, Smite V, Knockback III, Sweeping Edge I, Wither I, and Weakness I on one item.
If you are comparing it directly with the other named drops, the tradeoffs are clear. Reaper’s Scythe has the higher listed Wither and Sweeping Edge levels, Headless Blade has Weakness II plus Fire Aspect II and Nausea I, and Skull Crusher has Sharpness VI plus Wither II.
The axe’s answer is breadth: four enchantments, two on-hit effects, and no soulbound flag. There is also no stronger difficulty-specific copy to chase, so a Normal drop and a Mythic drop use the same listed combat package.
