Visor of the Advance is a Diamond Helmet from The Knight’s Castle’s Guard class-loot table. It’s armor with a name that sounds like a command to charge, which is exactly the sort of advice that gets you webbed by a Brave Knight.
“The eye slits leave no room to look back.” The line gives the item some history, but the reward itself comes from the castle guards and their miniboss, not from the Royal class-loot selection.
The Guard table also contains Worn Helmet, so the helmet slot has more than one named class-loot option. Those names identify different rewards, not different difficulty tiers of the same helmet.

Where to Get It
| Dropped By | Chance | Difficulty | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ser Prancelot | Selected from Guard table | Normal, Hard, Mythic | The Knights Castle Guard Class Loot |
| Arcane Knight | Selected from Guard table | Normal, Hard, Mythic | The Knights Castle Guard Class Loot |
| Brave Knight | Selected from Guard table | Normal, Hard, Mythic | The Knights Castle Guard Class Loot |
| Cowardly Knight | Selected from Guard table | Normal, Hard, Mythic | The Knights Castle Guard Class Loot |
These four mobs draw from the Guard class-loot table, but they do not have identical encounters. Ser Prancelot is a two-phase miniboss; Arcane Knight, Brave Knight, and Cowardly Knight are regular castle mobs. That gives you several routes to the same item pool.
Class Loot
Visor of the Advance is class loot. It has no fixed stats: its enchantments are rolled every time it drops, so no two copies are exactly alike, and harder difficulties allow higher enchantment levels. When a mob drops class loot, each player who wins the drop roll gets one item from that mob’s class loot pool, weighted toward their class.
Dropped as class loot by:
- Ser Prancelot (miniboss): 25% chance per player who dealt at least 10% of the mob’s health
- Arcane Knight, Brave Knight, Cowardly Knight (regular mobs): 5% chance per player who dealt at least 10% of the mob’s health
Possible Enchantments
The levels below are the most each enchantment can roll. Each drop receives about half of the listed levels at random, so most copies land below these maximums. The chance shows how often an enchantment appears at all.
From minibosses:
| Difficulty | Possible Enchantments |
|---|---|
| Normal | Sharpness up to III (always) Protection up to I (50%) Unbreaking up to I (55%) Smite up to III (60%) Bane Of Arthropods up to II (35%) Respiration up to I (15%) |
| Hard | Sharpness up to V (always) Protection up to III (65%) Unbreaking up to II (55%) Smite up to IV (60%) Bane Of Arthropods up to III (35%) |
| Mythic | Sharpness up to VII (always) Protection up to III (65%) Unbreaking up to III (55%) Smite up to V (60%) Bane Of Arthropods up to IV (35%) |
From regular mobs:
| Difficulty | Possible Enchantments |
|---|---|
| Normal | Sharpness up to II (always) Protection up to I (35%) Unbreaking up to I (15%) Smite up to II (30%) |
| Hard | Sharpness up to III (always) Protection up to II (55%) Unbreaking up to II (15%) Smite up to III (40%) |
| Mythic | Sharpness up to V (always) Protection up to III (55%) Unbreaking up to III (20%) Smite up to V (20%) |
Difficulty and Reward Planning
Normal uses level sync +5, Hard uses +0, and Mythic uses -5. These settings change the level relationship for the run; they do not make this class-loot item a separate named version.
Harder difficulties allow higher enchantment levels for class loot, so Mythic is the run to target if you are hunting the strongest roll. The item remains Diamond Helmet on all three settings; its name, class-loot source, and non-soulbound status stay the same.
How This Item Fits
Its job on this page is straightforward: identify the helmet, its four possible loot sources, and the combat needed to acquire it. Don’t borrow Fine Helmet’s Strength I effect or its Fire Protection V enchantment just because both are helmets found in the castle.
Heirless Circlet and Charlemagne’s Last Visor are Royal Diamond Helmets from Charlemagne, while Fine Helmet is his 5% unique Netherite Helmet. Visor of the Advance uses the Guard loot route, which means the miniboss and regular knights matter more than the throne room.
Farming the Castle Guards
Brave Knight has a pull-on-hit Vacuum attack without a cooldown and a Web attack that leaves a temporary cobweb on the player for three seconds. Its web power has a three-second cooldown and gives the knight Speed III for three seconds. Don’t let yourself be pinned in front of it while trying to farm a defensive item.
Cowardly Knight provides a different problem: it launches homing arrows at each player within 20 blocks every three seconds after finding a target. Those arrows can keep homing for up to 60 seconds. This makes the ranged opponent a priority when you are choosing where to fight.
A repeatable approach is to choose the enemy whose attacks you handle most reliably and focus on its Guard-table rewards. The item pool is shared, so there is no need to pretend that one regular knight secretly has exclusive ownership of Visor of the Advance.
Is It Worth It?
A sensible class-loot helmet to pursue if it suits your class selection and you want to build out a Guard reward set. Mythic is the difficulty to consider when seeking stronger rolled enchantments, but it does not turn this Diamond Helmet into the unique Netherite Fine Helmet.
If your goal is a specific named Guard reward, stay with the Guard loot sources instead of switching to the Royal table and hoping the names overlap. Keep the difficulty-dependent enchantment roll separate from a unique item’s explicit, fixed powers when comparing equipment.
Is It Worth It
Its main enchantment is Sharpness, which can reach III on Normal, V on Hard and VII on Mythic when it drops from a miniboss. If you want this piece at its strongest, Mythic is the run to farm. Since every copy is rolled, two drops from the same difficulty can still differ, so check each one against what you are already using.
