Courtyard Spurs are named Diamond Boots from The Knight’s Castle’s Guard class-loot table. They sound like boots that have spent a long time on stone stairs, and you’ll spend enough time on the castle’s dangerous ground trying to earn them.
“Each heel bears a dent from the castle steps.” The line gives the item some history, but the reward itself comes from the castle guards and their miniboss, not from the Royal class-loot selection.
Damaged Boots are the other Diamond Boots named in the same Guard table. They are separate items, even though both can be awarded through the same group of enemies.

Where to Get It
| Dropped By | Chance | Difficulty | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ser Prancelot | Selected from Guard table | Normal, Hard, Mythic | The Knights Castle Guard Class Loot |
| Arcane Knight | Selected from Guard table | Normal, Hard, Mythic | The Knights Castle Guard Class Loot |
| Brave Knight | Selected from Guard table | Normal, Hard, Mythic | The Knights Castle Guard Class Loot |
| Cowardly Knight | Selected from Guard table | Normal, Hard, Mythic | The Knights Castle Guard Class Loot |
These four mobs draw from the Guard class-loot table, but they do not have identical encounters. Ser Prancelot is a two-phase miniboss; Arcane Knight, Brave Knight, and Cowardly Knight are regular castle mobs. That gives you several routes to the same item pool.
Class Loot
Courtyard Spurs is class loot. It has no fixed stats: its enchantments are rolled every time it drops, so no two copies are exactly alike, and harder difficulties allow higher enchantment levels. When a mob drops class loot, each player who wins the drop roll gets one item from that mob’s class loot pool, weighted toward their class.
Dropped as class loot by:
- Ser Prancelot (miniboss): 25% chance per player who dealt at least 10% of the mob’s health
- Arcane Knight, Brave Knight, Cowardly Knight (regular mobs): 5% chance per player who dealt at least 10% of the mob’s health
Possible Enchantments
The levels below are the most each enchantment can roll. Each drop receives about half of the listed levels at random, so most copies land below these maximums. The chance shows how often an enchantment appears at all.
From minibosses:
| Difficulty | Possible Enchantments |
|---|---|
| Normal | Sharpness up to III (always) Protection up to I (50%) Unbreaking up to I (65%) Smite up to III (65%) Bane Of Arthropods up to II (35%) Feather Falling up to IV (25%) |
| Hard | Sharpness up to IV (always) Protection up to III (55%) Unbreaking up to II (65%) Smite up to IV (65%) Bane Of Arthropods up to III (35%) |
| Mythic | Sharpness up to VI (always) Protection up to III (55%) Unbreaking up to III (65%) Smite up to VI (65%) Bane Of Arthropods up to IV (35%) |
From regular mobs:
| Difficulty | Possible Enchantments |
|---|---|
| Normal | Sharpness up to II (always) Protection up to I (35%) Unbreaking up to I (15%) Smite up to II (30%) |
| Hard | Sharpness up to III (always) Protection up to II (65%) Unbreaking up to II (15%) Smite up to III (40%) |
| Mythic | Sharpness up to V (always) Protection up to III (65%) Unbreaking up to III (20%) Smite up to V (20%) |
Difficulty and Reward Planning
Normal uses level sync +5, Hard uses +0, and Mythic uses -5. These settings change the level relationship for the run; they do not make this class-loot item a separate named version.
Harder difficulties allow higher enchantment levels for class loot, so Mythic is the run to target if you are hunting the strongest roll. The item remains Diamond Boots on all three settings; its name, class-loot source, and non-soulbound status stay the same.
How This Item Fits
Courtyard Spurs are class loot rather than a fixed-effect unique drop. The important things to know before farming are that they are not exclusive to one guard, and that a class-loot selection does not hand you the entire table in a single kill.
Conqueror’s Spurs and Sabatons of the Siege are Royal Diamond Boots from Charlemagne. Knight’s Striders are a separate unique Netherite Boots drop from Charlemagne with Projectile Protection V, Protection II, Unbreaking V, and Strength I when you hit. None of those fixed stats can be assumed for Courtyard Spurs.
Farming the Castle Guards
Brave Knight combines an on-hit pull with a three-second temporary web and a brief Speed III burst. Fighting it while trapped is a bad way to protect your footwear investment. Cowardly Knight pressures you differently, repeatedly sending homing arrows toward nearby players.
Ser Prancelot brings a two-phase fight if you prefer the miniboss route. At half health it switches phase and can summon guards; its Freeze attack encloses players in packed ice for three seconds and has a 15-second cooldown. Expect a more involved encounter than fighting a single regular knight.
A repeatable approach is to choose the enemy whose attacks you handle most reliably and focus on its Guard-table rewards. The item pool is shared, so there is no need to pretend that one regular knight secretly has exclusive ownership of Courtyard Spurs.
Is It Worth It?
A good Guard-table boots target if your class selection leads to this named item, but judge its enchantments on the final copy. Farming Charlemagne for his Royal boots or unique Netherite boots is a separate decision with separate loot rules.
If your goal is a specific named Guard reward, stay with the Guard loot sources instead of switching to the Royal table and hoping the names overlap. Keep the difficulty-dependent enchantment roll separate from a unique item’s explicit, fixed powers when comparing equipment.
Is It Worth It
Its main enchantment is Sharpness, which can reach III on Normal, IV on Hard and VI on Mythic when it drops from a miniboss. If you want this piece at its strongest, Mythic is the run to farm. Since every copy is rolled, two drops from the same difficulty can still differ, so check each one against what you are already using.
