Dullahan is the boss of [Dynamic] The Hallosseum, and the fight is built around a hard switch in behavior at 50% health. The opening half pressures you with a bow, status effects, knockback, delayed lightning, and reinforcements; the second half trades that setup for a Netherite Hoe, permanent fight-long speed, anti-knockback, homing arrows, and two large area-control attacks.
The important part is not treating both phases like the same fight. Phase 1 punishes standing where you were a few seconds ago, while Phase 2 punishes standing in the wrong lane, staying too close during projectile barrages, and expecting knockback to buy you breathing room.

Difficulty Scaling
Dullahan scales with the dungeon rather than using one fixed level. Normal uses level sync +5, Hard uses +0, and Mythic uses -5, so the same two-phase kit is carried through three different level-sync settings.
Every named power in both phases is active on all three difficulties. There are no Hard-only or Mythic-only powers here, so higher difficulty does not simplify the moveset; you still need to respect the complete mechanic package from the opening arrow pressure through the final safe-lane attacks.
Phases
Phase 1: Dullahan begins as a bow-wielding Skeleton with a carved pumpkin in the off hand. This phase lasts until the boss reaches 50% health and combines Blindness, fire, pushback, delayed lightning, and Spooky Skeleton reinforcements.
Phase 2 — Dullahan: At 50% health, the weapon changes from a Bow to a Netherite Hoe and the power set changes with it. The second phase adds Wither on hit, complete knockback immunity, Speed II, recurring homing arrows, Bullet Hell, Death Slice, Hyper Loot, and the same reinforcement mechanic.
The named unique drops and the Hallosseum Dullahan Class Loot table are attached to Phase 2. That means the fight saves its most dangerous mechanics and its named reward pool for the same half, which is a very Minecraft way to make sure nobody relaxes just because the health bar is almost empty.
Powers and Abilities
- Attack Blinding: When Dullahan hits a player in Phase 1, that player receives Blindness I for 3 seconds. Active on Normal, Hard, and Mythic.
- Attack Fire: A Phase 1 hit sets the player on fire for 3 seconds. Active on Normal, Hard, and Mythic.
- Attack Lightning: When a player hits Dullahan in Phase 1, the power can mark the position beneath every player within 20 blocks with crit particles. Three seconds later, lightning strikes those marked positions, so the answer is movement: leave the spot that was marked rather than waiting there to see how committed the lightning is. The power has a 15-second global cooldown and is active on all difficulties.
- Attack Push: When Dullahan hits a player in Phase 1, the player is launched directly away from the boss. The power uses a 10-second global cooldown and is active on all difficulties.
- Spooky Skeleton Reinforcement: Dullahan can bring Spooky Skeleton reinforcements into the fight in both phases. The reinforcement mechanic is active on all difficulties.
- Attack Wither: In Phase 2, a hit from Dullahan applies Wither I for 3 seconds. Active on Normal, Hard, and Mythic.
- Invulnerability Knockback: Phase 2 Dullahan cannot be knocked back. Active on all difficulties.
- Movement Speed: Phase 2 Dullahan gains Speed II for about 83 minutes, which effectively covers the whole fight. Active on all difficulties.
- Skeleton Tracking Arrow: Once Dullahan has a target in Phase 2, every 3 seconds it fires a homing arrow at each player within 20 blocks. Those arrows can continue homing for up to 60 seconds, so ignoring them does not make them suddenly develop manners. Active on all difficulties.
- Bullet Hell: When a player hits Dullahan in Phase 2, there is a 25% chance to trigger this attack, followed by a 20-second cooldown. Dullahan stops moving, rises 10 blocks if there is air, and for 10 seconds fires a homing arrow every 0.5 seconds at each Survival or Adventure player within 20 blocks; each arrow stops homing after 10 seconds or once it gets 30 blocks from its target. Active on all difficulties.
- Death Slice: When a player hits Dullahan in Phase 2, there is a 10% chance to trigger Death Slice, with a 20-second global cooldown. The boss freezes and marks lines extending 15 blocks in 15 of 16 directions, leaving one random safe lane; after 5 seconds of smoke warning, those lines burn for 5 seconds and damage anything standing in them. Active on all difficulties.
- Hyper Loot: When Phase 2 Dullahan dies, it triggers ten extra EliteMobs loot generations. The power affects the reward moment rather than the combat itself and is active on all difficulties.
Summoned Reinforcements
Spooky Skeleton is a Skeleton reinforcement with a Bow, a 0.25× health multiplier, and a 0.6× damage multiplier. Its job is straightforward ranged pressure: it does not bring another named power into the arena, but extra arrows matter when Dullahan is already forcing movement with lightning, homing shots, and lane attacks.
Because the reinforcement is much lighter on health than Dullahan, clearing it can reduce the number of simultaneous threats you need to track. The main danger is letting small ranged pressure stack on top of a boss mechanic that already demands your full attention.
What It Says
- Spawn: “Don’t lose your head now, the headless horseman walks the earth once again!”
- Death: “The headless horseman was vanquished by the players who killed it!”
- Escape: “The headless horseman has left to haunt someone’s dreams!”

How to Beat It
Phase 1 is mostly about not getting anchored in one place. Attack Lightning marks where players are standing and strikes those positions 3 seconds later, so when the crit particles appear under you, move away from that exact spot; standing still turns a warning marker into an appointment.
Expect Dullahan’s bow hits to make movement uglier at the same time. Blindness I lasts 3 seconds, fire lasts 3 seconds, and Attack Push can throw you directly away from the boss, so leave yourself enough room to reposition instead of fighting with your back against terrain that turns a push into a bad landing.
At 50% health, change your priorities immediately. Phase 2 cannot be knocked back and has Speed II for effectively the whole remaining fight, which means knockback is not an escape plan; your real defense is reading the two large attacks correctly and managing distance from the homing-arrow pressure.
For Death Slice, use the 5-second smoke warning to identify the one unmarked lane and stand in it, or get more than 15 blocks away before the fire lines activate. Do not try to squeeze between marked directions once the damage phase starts; the mechanic already hands you a safe answer, and guessing is how inventories become memorials.
Bullet Hell is different. The boss can rise 10 blocks and spends 10 seconds firing homing arrows every 0.5 seconds at players within 20 blocks, so creating distance before and during the barrage reduces how much fresh projectile pressure you are exposed to. The homing behavior on those arrows eventually ends after 10 seconds or once an arrow gets 30 blocks from its target.
The recurring Skeleton Tracking Arrow power keeps adding homing shots every 3 seconds at players within 20 blocks once Dullahan has a target. If Spooky Skeletons are also active, clearing those lighter reinforcements cuts down the ordinary ranged pressure and leaves more attention for the boss mechanics that can actually box you in.
