Smoldering Goldsmith is a regular crew mob in [Dynamic] The Dark Spire. This Piglin Brute carries a Netherite Axe, wears Netherite Boots, and is built around fire and forced movement.
It can set players on fire, launch them away on a hit, and cannot be knocked back itself. It also has permanent Fire Resistance, because apparently the goldsmith has spent enough time near the forge to stop caring.

How to Beat It
Fire is a poor plan because Smoldering Goldsmith has permanent Fire Resistance, and knockback will not move it either. Its own hits can set you on fire for 3 seconds, so letting the fight turn into a long trade works in the Goldsmith’s favor.
Attack Push can also launch you directly away on a hit with a 10-second global cooldown. Keep that forced movement in mind when choosing where to engage, because the mob is happy to decide your next position for you.
