Drained One is a two-phase Drowned-based crew enemy in The Vampire Manor. It carries a Trident and wears Netherite chestplate, leggings, and boots, but its biggest trick is how quickly the fight changes once you hit it.
Its first phase can explode into a storm of damaging gold nuggets. The second keeps its push attacks and summons, adds a broader Levitation difficulty range, and carries the class loot.

| Mythic | -5 |
The level scales with the dungeon. Normal syncs five levels above the player, Hard has no level offset, and Mythic syncs five levels below the player. The listed power restrictions still apply at each setting.
Attack Gravity appears on Mythic in phase 1 and on Hard and Mythic in phase 2. Other listed core powers work across all three difficulties.
Phases
| Phase | When It Starts | What Changes | Loot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase 1: Drained One | At the start | Gold Explosion may trigger after a player hits it; Attack Gravity is Mythic-only. Attack Push, immunities, and Drainling summons are active. | Class loot inactive |
| Phase 2: Drowned One | At 99.99% health | Gold Explosion is no longer listed. Attack Gravity now works on Hard and Mythic; gear, Drowned base, multipliers, Attack Push, immunities, and summons remain. | Manor class loot active |
Powers and Abilities
- Gold Explosion (phase 1, all difficulties): Has a 25% chance to trigger when a player hits it, with a 20-second global cooldown. Smoke builds for 1.5 seconds before 200 damaging gold nuggets burst outward.
- Attack Push (both phases, all difficulties): A hit sends the player directly away from the mob. Has a 10-second global cooldown.
- Attack Gravity: A hit gives Levitation I for 5 seconds; Mythic in phase 1, Hard and Mythic in phase 2.
- Projectile Immunity (both phases, all difficulties): Takes no damage from player projectiles.
- Knockback Immunity (both phases, all difficulties): Cannot be knocked back.
- Fire Resistance (both phases, all difficulties): Permanent Fire Resistance.
- Drainling Summon (both phases, all difficulties): Calls Drainlings into combat.
Summoned Reinforcements
Drainlings are Drowned with Tridents, a 0.25× health multiplier, and a 0.6× damage multiplier. They have a follow distance of 30 and can use Attack Push to launch players away.
The Drainlings are immune to arrows, knockback, and fire. On Hard and Mythic they also inflict Wither I for 3 seconds with a hit. Even a fragile summon can cause trouble when it interrupts your attack on the main target.
Class Loot
Uninvited Guest, Garlicwood Cleaver, Shutterwatch Bow, Midnight Caller, Banquet Prongs, Gravegarden Crescent, Crypt Knocker, Hallway Pike, Necromancer’s Bookmark, Bedside Hex, Hunter’s Brow, Unwelcome Waistcoat, Cryptwalker Trousers, Hallrunner Shoes, Blood Cowl, Blood Chestpiece, Blood Leggings, Blood Boots, Guest’s Refusal.
How to Beat It
In phase 1, hitting the Drained One can start the Gold Explosion. The smoke gives a 1.5-second warning before the burst; take that cue seriously rather than standing next to it to squeeze in one more hit.
Expect the encounter to shift almost as soon as damage lands, since phase 2 begins at 99.99% health. On Hard and Mythic, the second phase can lift you with Levitation; its push attack can also break your positioning. A bow will not solve either phase because projectile immunity is always active.
Deal with nearby Drainlings before they crowd your melee approach, particularly on Hard and Mythic where their Wither hits add pressure. Finishing phase 2 is the route to the class-loot stage.
