Deckhand is a regular dungeon mob in The Pirate Ship. It is a Pillager armed with a Crossbow, with a 1.5× health multiplier and a 1× damage multiplier.
It cannot be knocked back and ignores player projectile damage. Its hits also pull players toward it, which is a lovely little reversal when your plan was to create distance.

Powers and Abilities
- Invulnerability Knockback: Deckhand cannot be knocked back. Active on all difficulties.
- Invulnerability Arrow: Deckhand takes no damage from player projectiles such as arrows, tridents, and similar attacks. Active on all difficulties.
- Attack Vacuum: When Deckhand hits a player, it pulls that player toward itself. There is no cooldown. Active on all difficulties.

How to Beat It
Knockback will not move Deckhand, and player projectiles do not hurt it, so neither tactic solves the spacing problem. Its hits pull you inward with no cooldown, making repeated hits especially good at ruining distance.
Hard and Mythic add the every-8-seconds arrow attack. On Mythic, watch for crit particles under your feet and move before lightning hits that position 3 seconds later.
