Pirate is a regular dungeon mob in The Pirate Ship with two versions: a Golden Sword Vindicator and a Crossbow Pillager. They share the same unique drop pool, but their powers make the fights behave very differently.
The Golden Sword version traps players with cobwebs and pulls nearby living things toward its death spot. The Crossbow version pulls players in and then adds Levitation, because apparently standing where you wanted to stand was too generous.

Difficulty Scaling
This mob uses the dungeon’s dynamic level scaling. Normal uses level sync +5, Hard uses level sync 0, and Mythic uses level sync -5.
The Golden Sword version uses Implosion and Attack Web on all difficulties. The Crossbow version uses Attack Vacuum and Attack Gravity on all difficulties. Both variants gain Skeleton Tracking Arrow on Hard and Mythic, and Bullet Hell on Mythic.
Powers and Abilities
- Implosion: The Golden Sword variant creates portal particles for 1 second when it dies. After 3 seconds, every living thing within 10 blocks is pulled toward the spot where it died. Active on all difficulties.
- Attack Web: A hit from the Golden Sword variant places a temporary cobweb on the player for 3 seconds and gives the Pirate Speed III for 3 seconds. The cooldown is 3 seconds with a 1-second global cooldown. Active on all difficulties.
- Attack Vacuum: A hit from the Crossbow variant pulls the player toward the Pirate with no cooldown. Active on all difficulties.
- Attack Gravity: A hit from the Crossbow variant gives Levitation I for 5 seconds. Active on all difficulties.
- Skeleton Tracking Arrow: Once either variant has a target, every 3 seconds it fires a homing arrow at each player within 20 blocks. The arrows can keep homing for up to 60 seconds. Active on Hard and Mythic.
- Bullet Hell: Has a 25% chance to trigger when a player hits the Pirate, with a 20-second cooldown. The Pirate stops moving, rises 10 blocks if there is air, and fires a homing arrow every 0.5 seconds for 10 seconds at nearby Survival or Adventure players before returning to its starting spot. Active on Mythic.

How to Beat It
Against the Golden Sword version, a hit can lock you in a cobweb for 3 seconds while the Pirate gains Speed III. When it dies, move away from the death spot before the delayed Implosion pulls everything within 10 blocks inward.
The Crossbow version can pull you toward it and apply Levitation I for 5 seconds. On Hard and Mythic, both variants add homing arrows every 3 seconds, and Mythic can turn that into a 10-second Bullet Hell barrage.
